The East Midlands East Maths Hub is led by The Minster School, working in collaboration with strategic partners to make Every Child a Mathematician. The vision of the Maths Hub is to transform mathematics education in the region so that all children are excited about and committed to becoming mathematicians, contributing to their own as well as regional and national prosperity. The Maths Hub will support the learning community in Lincolnshire to make this a sustainable reality.
East Midlands East Maths Hub is an approachable, inclusive and supportive community which provides a research-informed approach to mathematics education across all phases, types of schools and settings.
Through working collaboratively: regionally, nationally and internationally, the Maths Hub aims to share expertise to challenge, improve, sustain and inspire the teaching of mathematics across the region; increasing pupil participation, outcomes and engagement with mathematics.
The Maths Hub, What is it?
The East Midlands East Maths Hub is one of 40 designated hubs and is led by The Minster School, Southwell. The Maths Hub programme is supported by the National Centre for Excellence in Teaching Mathematics and funded by the DfE.
Maths Hubs bring together mathematics education professionals in a collaborative national network, to develop and spread excellent practice, for the benefit of all pupils and students. East Midlands East Maths Hub covers all Local Authority Districts in Lincolnshire – West Lindsey, East Lindsey, South Holland, Boston, North Kesteven, South Kesteven and Lincoln.
Nottinghamshire – Mansfield, Newark and Sherwood, Bassetlaw, Gedling and Rushcliffe.
